Americans spend more than $250 million per year only on medication for constipation.Basically, Constipation can be categorized in two types, acute and chronic. The food we eat moves through our elementary canal in peristaltic motion. If this motion is disturbed in the colon, then we experience constipation. It takes few days to recover from acute constipation.

Any kind of citrus fruits are high on vitamin C, anti-oxidants and they are very good cleansing agents, as well. You need to mix two table spoons of lemon juice and one table spoon of honey in lukewarm water and drink it early in the morning, with an empty stomach.
3. Olive Oil
Olive oil is believed to have many medicinal properties. It stimulates the digestive system and makes bowel movement easy. You can mix one table spoon of Olive oil with a teaspoon of lemon juice and have it regularly, in order to get rid of constipation.
